I have a challenge for you hardy souls that want to take charge of your own destiny to take a serious look at the Empower Network video. You will discover a community of people dedicated to helping you to achieve your dreams and passions. Yes it does require some effort and dedication on your
part. Like anything else, if you want to take control your destiny, you must take action now. Life does not automatically grant your wishes. You have to act.

Think about it. Your commute to work will be a short walk from your bedroom to your computer. Not a care about the traffic. No worries about the weather outside. You can be home to send the kids off to school and be there when they comeback home. Does this sound like a dream come true. It is possible. Just take that first step.

Socialism Explained

This is a story that I have seen before. It wound up in my in b0x this evening. I think that it is worth telling.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.
Remember, there IS a test coming up. The 2012 elections.

Think about this lesson. It is very true.

Something to Think About

Here is something to think about. A friend of mine has been in the online marketing business for about 3 years. He works full time as an engineer does his on line business part time. We live in the same town and I know Him personally. He earns more in his Online business than his day job. He enjoys them both.

 

What can you do in online marketing?  It is possible for you to do both. To add to your earnings part time while you gain your self confidence in your marketing skills makes good sense. To many online marketing companies Seem to try to sell you a bunch of products. Then they turn you loose to blindly try To sell your stuff. This is not the way to successes.

One thing that you need to learn is how to write a blog. To some of you this may sound very intimidating. Really what this means is writing a short story say 500 words about any topic that your like. Any subject that interests you. If you do this on a daily basis, it will become very easy. A good friend of mine has so many stories to tell that he could easily fill a number of books. As you begin to write, your memory will begin to improve and the words will begin to flow.

 

If you know someone on social security that spends too much time watching TV that they are almost brain dead, this might be
just what the doctor ordered. And get paid as well. This would solve a number of problems. Staying active and exercising your brain helps to keep you young. Having something creative to do and communicating with real people is very good. The last part,
earning real money should clench the deal.

 

This is for our older citizens that are too old for many employers think that if you are 65 years old you should be discarded to the trash heap. You may have difficulty moving around.Are afraid to drive in traffic. Want to set your own schedule o r just don’t like to work for the” man”. A lot of older folks are afraid of computers. Perhaps your parents or other relatives fall in this category. Maybe you see a solution to their problem and If they really are board with life but want more than starring at the boob tube you could help. Perhaps they could relive their stories through you. Record their stories and develop them into a blog What a blog this would make. This could be the start of something extraordinary. You may find they are young at heart and are willing to try anything.

History Lesson You Haven’t Known

I received an email today reminding me of this story. I can’t confirm the numbers, but they are realistic in the time frame of World War II.

“American Hunters
After the Japanese decimated our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, They could have sent their troop ships and carriers directly to California To finish what they started.
The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not be able to stop a Massive invasion until they reached the Mississippi River.
Remember, we were isolationists in 1941 when pearl Harbor happened, and the Japanese could have easily invaded the USA.

So, why did they not invade?

After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question.
Their answer… They knew that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them.

The world’s largest army……..was the America’s hunter !

Someone in 2011 added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin .

Allow me to restate that number. Over the last several months, Wisconsin’s hunters became the eighth largest army in the world……..over 600,000 hunters.

More men under arms than in Iran …

More than in France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan’s 700,000 hunters All of whom have now returned home.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

The point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting — it’s not just a way to fill the freezer.

It’s a matter of national security.

That’s why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed”.

A number of younger people, just beginning to be of voting age probably have not heard this story. They may be persuaded to vote for gun control. To me I see this as a grave mistake. They really need to pay attention to world news. For example, I used to travel in Mexico with out any fear. Now that is no longer an option. Only the military and police legally may have firearms. The ordinary citizen can not own them. The drug dealers appear to have more and better weapons than anyone.

Any country that is run by a dictator by whatever name they call themselves will not allow their citizens to own any firearms, for fear of rebellion. Take a look at the middle eastern countries. If we loose our right to bear arms, this could happen here.

As my dad would say “the train is about to leave the station” My dad worked for the Katy railroad for over 50 years. This was one of his favorite sayings.
